Pitt Men's Glee Club Sunday, 3/18/18

Pitt Men’s Glee Club (PMGC) has been in existence since 1890 and is celebrating its 127th season this year.  The group has performed and traveled all over the world, including Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.  Their most recent international tour was in 2015 when they traveled to Italy for a two weeks, performing in the Cathedrals of Assisi and Sorrento, as well as the Duomo in Florence.  Additional concerts were given in Verona, Rome, Bologna and Venice.  Music Director Richard Teaster has guided the PMGC for 18 years and has seen renaissance in both membership, ranging from 50 to 60 men, and musical caliber, placing them among the top men’s collegiate choral ensembles in the nation.  Mr. Teaster is an active soloist in many Operas, Choirs, and Symphonies in and around the Pittsburgh area.  PMGC sang at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City and is excited to be returning there to sing again on this tour.
