SIMPLY Streisand Apr 23, 2017, 3PM

Carla Del Villaggio is a multiple award winning tribute artist entertaining audiences

from Miami to LA to New York City presenting the music of the incomparable Barbra

Streisand.  From hair, to nails, to concert gowns, Carla is Simply Streisand in every

way.  As a classically trained Lyric Soprano, she has played roles as Lalume in Kismet,  Lucy Brown in the Three Penny Opera,  Nedda in ”I Pagliacci” and Musetta in “La Boheme” to name a few.  A natural comedienne with impeccable comic timing,

critics compare Carla to likes of Bette Midler and Carol Burnett.  She is praised for

the beauty of her voice, stage presence, and has the Barbra shrug down pat, and is

adept at recreating the infectious Barbra giggle.  A fitting end to a fabulous season!

Crosswinds Trio Chamber Music Nov 6 @ 3PM

Crosswinds Trio presents a unique sound in chamber music.  Gary Ross (trumpet), Lawrence Kursar (horn) and Michael Toth (piano) draw on their diverse musical backgrounds and experiences from the orchestral stage, the jazz club, and the recital hall to create a refreshing sound.  The Trio’s program will be “Wings Across Time” an appealing, virtuosic program of different styles and genres from classical to jazz and everything in between, a virtual melting-pot of diverse and recognizable music that will set your feet tappin’ and hands clappin’.  Members of Crosswinds Trio have toured extensively as chamber music artists in the United States and Canada.  Highlighted credits of the artists include Mr. Toth’s debut at age 14 at Carnegie Recital Hall;  Mr. Kursar’s direction as stage conductor of the Bolshoi Ballet;  and Mr. Ross’s performances with such celebrities as Liberace, Bobby Vinton, and Barry White.  This concert will be a great way to spend a musical Sunday afternoon.

Doug Cameron Returns! Oct 11, 7:30PM

Doug Cameron is one of the true innovators of the contemporary and electric violin.  A veteran of the Los Angeles studio Scene, and an arranger and composer, Doug has long been a favorite on jazz radio.  He has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists, including Doc Severinsen, George Benson, Tom Petty, Cher, The Allman Brothers, and Dionne Warwick, and has performed in numerous motion pictures and commercials.  One of Doug’s focuses has been working with young musicians in an inspirational master class/workshop environment.  “This has been some of the most satisfying work I’ve ever done.  I believe it is more important than ever that young people become exposed and involved in music.  Music is a gift that I am grateful to have in my life, and it’s my hope to be able to share it with as many young people as possible.” He often performs with his two young sons, Alex, age 9, and Sean, age 7, both up and coming violinists.  Some recent projects are, Different Hats a two CD collection, Celtic Crossroads-The Uncharted Path, and his first concert DVD Doug Cameron Live.   Doug has recently been traveling to Cuba to teach and perform.  This will be an outstanding evening of music with Doug Cameron and his group of four.
